Sergio Busquets has announced that this is his last season as a FC Barcelona player after a career of over 15 years in the first team and there are many players who wanted to say a few words to him.
From teammates to former teammates and friends, such as Lionel Messi, they are now joined by those who play for Barcelona’s biggest rival: Luka Modric.
Modric and Busquets have faced each other on countless occasions in all years, not just in La Liga, always demonstrating their competitiveness and moral rivalry both on and off the field.
In fact, to date, they are the two players with the most Clasico appearances in their jersey: Busquets has 46 Clasico appearances for Barcelona, while Modric has reached 37 with the Whites since signing in 2012.
The Croatian midfielder sent a message to Busquets through his social networks, specifically on Twitter, saying: “One of the best midfielders I have ever played against. It was my pleasure.”
